Don't Insult Leaders Comr. Oki Advice Bayelsa Youth.

Bayelsa State_____The Coordinator of the Niger Delta Self Determination Movement, Comrade Oki Tony has warned that, no Ijaw leader must be insulted, maligned or defamed because of politics.
Oki Tony who doubles as the Current Secretary of IYC National Action Committee in a statement said the Niger Delta Self Determination Movement has been watching keenly how some desperate politicians who are fighting for their personal interests have been continuously trying to defame the person of Retired Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah who is widely known as an honest, dependable and perfect gentleman, and warned that the group has a way of dealing with such persons.
Lamenting how the Ijaw man is fast loosing some vital values such as respect and regard for leaders, Oki Tony said as a people we must learn from the Yurobas who know how to honour and respect their leaders, saying whoever does not respect leaders will not be respected when he or she becomes a leader too.
He said apart from the exalted office he occupies, His Excellency Retired Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John Jonah has an uncommon pedigree that is respected nationally, stressing that anyone who insult him or any Ijaw leader unduly, will not only be cursed by the Ijaw gods but face massive rejection.
Oki Tony who said if politics is a game, then there must be fair play in it, also used the opportunity to advise all players on the political turf to play without bitterness and acrimony, saying what should be considered first is the interests of Bayelsans.
The Opuama born Comrade in the Ijaw Struggle however used the opportunity to thank His Excellency Retired Rear Admiral Gboribiogha John for the maturity displayed in the midst of all these, especially for ignoring the overbearing attitude of thesame people he brought to the Restoration Government, adding that he has proven beyond all reasonable doubt that he is competent to govern the State if given the opportunity.
He therefore called on Bayelsans to disregard those mischief makers with a bad history of pulling down those who lift them up, and support the Jonah's gubernatorial ambition saying he is a leader who remains focused and committed to serving the people in spite of the challenges that comes, he alleged.
